It fits all my needs.

by:

Great product especially when ordering with e-trailer made it better experience. Thx

by:

Quality hitch.

by:

Works great for towing trailers with different heights of sway bar hitches. The ability to put whatever kind of hitch you want at any height is invaluable, I will probably never have to buy a drop hitch ever again in my life, the construction on this is very stout.

by:

After using it, but they standard trailer the ball hitch cracked did not know who to reach out to called you guys multiple times and no response

by:

The hitch was perfect for the job that I was working on.95 bronco, which I mounted it at the front of vehicle so that the customer can move boats around while looking at the front windsheild. Also was able to use it at the rear of vehicle also.Perfect choice.

by:

This hitch is solid! We used it to flat-tow a Jeep behind our motorhome and use the top slot for the bike rack. It was super solid and performed perfectly during this 4500+ mile trip.

by:

Very heavy duty stacked receiver and dual ball. Combined with the stabilizer bars i feel safe hauling my trailers. Still able to use my other hitches with this receiver too.

by:

I've not towed with it yet, but it's very high quality and seems way overbuilt. I like the hammered finish and the components are very nice. Once I figured out how they work, Gen-Y's 'twisting lock pin' is easier to use than a standard cotter pin and adds some piece of mind that it's not going anywhere. Love that you can store the ball mount in front of the hitch when not using it - including sideways so that it doesn't reduce ground clearance, even when in the lowest receiver. The only thing I don't like about it - which etrailer comments on in the online item description - is that it doesn't fit very snug. Combined with the 2-1/2 to 2" reducer sleeve, there's a fair amount of play. Not sure yet if this is going to create rattling when towing (that would reduce my stars). One note: based on the Gen-Y website's method for determining the appropropriate drop for my vehicle, I should have ordered the 10" drop. I did my own measuring and ordered the 7-1/2" drop instead, which works perfectly for my 2021 RAM 3500 SRW 4x4.

by:

All in all a good set up. A lot more play in the receiver than I expected. Fair amount of rattling around without a trailer attached. In all fairness I do live in a state with poor roads.

by:

Amazing hitch will NEVER buy another! Quality craftsmanship, excellent service from etrailer!

by:

Holy crap, thing is built like a tank. Needed it to lower my front mount to accommodate a ebike rack. Worked great!

by:

Has done what it is supposed to do. I have used the hitch to tow two boats over the last two years using both ball sizes. The only issue is the appearance. Saltwater creates rust and break down of the coating on the hitch. Was never dunked in salt has been effected being near saltwater. Hitch was washed with freshwater after each use in salt.

I probably wouldn’t buy again. I have seen some other hitches that can do similar adjustments that do better near saltwater environments.

Oh my sweet adjustable hitch from the future, where have you been all my lifted truck life?! ?? Let me tell you, this GenY adjustable hitch is like the superhero sidekick my overgrown, behemoth of a Dodge 1 ton needed to conquer the highways and byways with style, swagger, and an adjustable drop that's got me feeling like a towing wizard!

Picture this: my truck, the size of a small building, with tires that could probably qualify as a down payment for a small country. And then there's the trailer – it's like a mobile home with an identity crisis. Traditional hitches quiver in fear when they see my rig coming, but not the GenY. Nope, this hitch faces my truck's titanic drop with a grin and says, "Bring it on, buddy!"

So, what's the deal with this hitch, you ask? Well, let me break it down for you while keeping my excitement level in check (which is near impossible):

Adjustable Awesomeness: The GenY hitch doesn't just drop – it swoops, it dips, it twirls. Okay, maybe not twirls, but you get the idea. You want to tow your luxury yacht or your miniature house? Boom, this hitch adjusts to whatever mind-boggling height difference you can throw at it.

Zero Drama, All Towing Nirvana: Remember the time when towing made your truck feel like it was dragging a herd of elephants through a mud pit? Yeah, those days are over. With the GenY hitch, my Dodge struts its stuff like a runway model with a trailer in tow. Smooth as butter, I tell you. Smooth as butter!

Weightlifting Champion: I swear, I've pulled everything short of a small planet with this hitch. The GenY hitch handles weight like a pro wrestler handles dumbbells – effortlessly! No creaks, no groans, just a confident "I got this" vibe that makes me want to challenge it to a bench press competition. (Spoiler: I'd lose.)

Confidence Booster: Have you ever seen a truck hitch that oozes confidence? Well, you're about to! Every time I back up to my trailer, I can practically hear my hitch saying, "Don't worry, buddy, I've got your back!" And it does, every single time.

Conversation Starter: I can't tell you how many times people have walked by my truck and trailer combo, only to do a double-take at the hitch. It's like having a celebrity accessory for my truck. Sometimes, I feel like rolling down my window and saying, "Oh, this? It's just my GenY – no big deal!"

In conclusion, my GenY adjustable hitch is not just a hitch – it's a legendary partner in crime for my lifted Dodge adventure-mobile. If my truck could write reviews, it would probably leave an even longer, more passionate review than this. But for now, take my word for it – if you're towing with a truck that's on the verge of having its own postcode, get yourself a GenY hitch and let the good times (and the trailers) roll!

by:

This thing is a monster, going to be perfect for what I got it for, had to have a 12 inch rise for flat towing our 2021 raised Jeep wrangler. looked all over for something strong enough for the job, and this beast is perfect.

by:

Amazing thing is a beast best hitch I’ve ever owned I’ll probably never buy another one

by:

Quality product and you can tell by the weight. I believe this will give me many years of service! Going to make sure I get it locked on.

by:

Great production quality and super fast delivery from etrailer!

by:

Showed up on time. Needed a heavy duty hitch for my lifted super duty. Used for first time today and worked perfectly. My beaver tail landscape trailer has to towed level or it bottoms out. With this hitch no worries about towing level. Great product!

by:

Sturdy piece of equipment. Will be with me for years. Not your regular hitch, a little on the heavy side as expected since it's rated to 16k lbs towing capacity.
Doesn't come with the locking pin but at this price you might want to buy your own pin with a locking device to deter unnecessary theft.
Towed my 12k pound trailer with about a 1500 lb tongue weight without issues.

by:

No worries about overloading my hitch receiver with this bad boy. The quality seems outstanding, stainless pin with anti release pin clip. No shortcuts here.

by:

This item is so universal also a good deflector if you might get rear ended! Perfect fit for my 2013 Nissan Rogue. Thank you etrailer.com Very good Engineering... William

by:

This hitch is massive . Very heavy duty. I like how easy it is to change out for different trailers.

by:

Part came as advertised. I was most impressed with the customer service. Quinn F was insanely helpful and thorough. Really made this process easy.

by:

Works well as I have different trailers that require height changes, this fits the bill!

  • How To Carry Two E-Bikes and Kayaks On a Motorhome
I have some great options for carrying two kayaks and two bikes behind a motorhome, the trailer will be best used for the kayaks due to the crossbar spread. I recommend the Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer for 2 Kayaks part # MAL93FR for this. Then, in order to carry the two bikes you can use the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount part # 325-GH-414 along with a bike rack of your choice. The Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack part # HLY64FR is e-bike rated and can be used on a motorhome.

  • How Can I Carry Two 10 Speed Bikes On A Motorhome While Pulling A Tow Dolly
My recommendation would be to add an adapter. Something like the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop/Rise - 10K, part # 325-GH-414, would be a perfect choice. It has a 10K weight limit, so you will have no problem using it with your tow dolly. You can use the lower hitch opening for your tow dolly and use the upper hitch opening for the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # S64670, you attached to your question. • Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier Which Allows For Towing a Small Trailer Behind RV Motorhome
I have a different recommendation for you as the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier w/ 2" Receiver Opening # RM-195225 you found can only be used when flat towing or carrying hitch mounted accessories. It cannot be used for towing a trailer even as light weight as your 6'x10' cargo trailer. Instead you will want to use the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # 325-GH-414 with our Spare Tire Carrier # e98ZR. The stacked receivers allow you to place the ball mount in the lower receiver...

  • Recommended Dual Hitch Adapter For Towing and Hitch Accessory
I do have an option for you but the dual hitch adapters like the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter part # RM-077-10 either don't allow for towing or reduce the capacity too much for towing. Instead, I recommend an offset ball mount such as the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers part # 325-GH-414 which will allow you to use a hitch mounted accessory in the top receiver and a ball mount in the lower receiver.

  • Can Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount Be Used with Any 2" Receiver to Tow Trailer and Mount Accessory
Yes, the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # 325-GH-414 can be used with any standard 2" ball mount or trailer hitch receiver, such as what your SUV is already equipped with. For just the receiver portion of this unit without the hitch balls you can use part # 325-GH-404. This will allow you to use your existing ball mount on the bottom receiver and your hitch-mounted accessory on the top receiver. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well. I have a solution but we do not offer an adjustable ball mount like the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-414 with a single 2 inch ball. I recommend a fixed ball mount like the B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount - 3" Rise, 4" Drop # BWBMHD30013 which is 11 3/8 inches long, and will offer the ground clearance you are looking for. • Recommended Adjustable Ball Mount for Bike Rack and Hitch Ball Drop Compatibility
There are a few options like using the Malone Dual Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches # MPG544 but those options are dependent on the tongue weight of your trailer as well as the tongue weight rating of your hitch.
